This year was quite hard.
We’ll see what will New Year bring.
Anyway, Happy Holidays!

I think poke is one of the most exciting games in the world. It teaches you so many things. Poker is a lot like life: it’s risk vs. reward; it’s pleasure and pain, courage and fear. Anyone can play thins game: young and old, men and women. What other game allows playing on equal terms with the biggest stars? Poker can even teach you to think like a business-oriented person, because you learn to evaluate the situation, you learn to vital negotiating skills and think in risk vs reward terms on a micro level.
Thoughts?

Backlinks updated a little. Maybe that was a light backlink update?

Still I expected much harder changes… very strange update.

Christmas is coming soon and I feel a little childish. I want presents, I want party, I want pleasant feelings.
I think that Christmas is the kindest holiday of the year. It is allways the expectation of a wonder, which usually not happening, but you have a feeling that something good happened at Christmas night.
Well, I feel a bit excited before Christmas… Hope it will be as good as it usually is every year.

A man walked by a table in a hotel and noticed three men and a dog playing cards. The dog was playing with extraordinary performance. “This is a very smart dog.”, the man commented.
“Not so smart,” said one of the players. “every time he gets a good hand he wags his tail.”

There are TWO rules for ultimate success in poker: 1. Never tell everything you know.

A man came home from a poker game late one night and found his hideous
harpy of a wife waiting for him with a rolling pin.
“Where the hell have you been?” she asked.
“You’ll have to pack all your things, dear,” he ad-libbed. “I’ve just
lost you in a card game.”
“How did you manage to do that?”
“It wasn’t easy, honest. I had to fold with a royal flush.”

http://www.whois.sc/. Exellent whois source which shows tons of useful information: in addition to all the standart whois info, it shows whois changes history, alexa ranks, sites on the same IP (!!!), dmoz inclusion, country of the site, registrar company of domains etc, etc, etc. Five stars “Editors choice”, absolutely.

Today I suddenly realised that I didn’t play poker allmost for three months!
With this SEO stuff I couldn’t find time for playing my favourite game.
I went to my poker room and when I played my first hand I was tagged like a fish. The level of average players became much more higher then then I used to.
So I guess I have to find new strategies.
Maybe you will give me advice to find some new strategies?

Let’s talk about Page Rank.
For the last couple of years it was very popular opinion that PR doesn’t matter anymore. And for all that time I was willing to agree with it in general.
But today, out of curiosity I’ve checked out this thing:
http://tools.host2play.com/search.php?q=online+poker&pp=10
and find out, that first 10, even in general 20 sites are being dispatched very smoothly, in terms of PR deacrease rate. If, let’s say, a year ago it was wild west and easely you could find PR4 site on the first place and PR7 site on 8th, right now it’s very strong and algorithmical - first 3 sites are PR7, next 5 are PR6 and so on. Some small shuffle presents, but main idea is really clear. I think it means something

I decided to write about directories at gambling-related websites.
Recently a lot of sites began to use directories of links at their websites and exchanging links in a very aggressive mode. IMHO it’s not good. Let’s remember the case with cleaning such sites, which were at good positions at Google at June 2004.

http://www.casinos-123.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11
“There was some kind of cleaning. Many doorways disappeared. But and many big and heavy sites disappeared too. They were holding first results in all gold keywords, like “online casino”, “online gambling” and now they are out.
Like dollarsgambling.com, abc-online-casinos.com, best-online-casino-directory.com
We all know them well. And we all have to think hard, what is going on.”

These sites are still out. They had lost their Page Rank, positions, everything.
Behind some of these sites were whole companies, which disappeared after that disaster.
I think that links from content pages or front pages are much better then directories with no Page Rank and thousands of links. IMHO.
We’ll see…
